学员姓名：闫然 报读课程：托福VIP一对一班，SAT VIP一对一; 考试成绩：托福总分118分，SAT阅读800分、语法800分、数学770分，总分2370分; Reading： I can’t stress enough about vocabulary; sentence completion is really the only part you have control on, so memorize words. Personally, I need to know the English definition and context in order to memorize a word; if you can just match the Chinese meaning of the English word without knowing how to use it and getting all the questions right, then congratulations, you have an advantage. 阅读 ： 我的建议是多背单词。单词这一块儿怎么强调都不过分。因为掌握了单词你就能掌握句子填空了。我背单词的时候不只是简单地将单词和中文释义联系起来背诵就了事了，我需要了解一个单词在某一语境下的具体释义。等到你即便不知道一个单词的中文释义就能把空填对，那么恭喜你，你就多了一个优势。 Passages based reading is the part that most Chinese worry about; my advice is that you try to understand the passage. Understand the lines, read it, and see how every part of the essay connects. 大多数中国学生最害怕阅读。我的建议是试着去理解整体并去分析每个部分是如何连接起来的，这样训练能够提高你的阅读能力。 Math： Do a little bit of math every day; sometimes it gets boring, but just try doing some problems daily at least two weeks before the exam. 数学： 坚持每天做一点练习，要不怕困难耐住寂寞。尤其是考试前两周每天坚持做一点习题。 Essay： They are looking for your critical thinking in the two pages. So don’t worry about examples, don’t memorize them. Your points matter; examples can be anything you want if you have a good thesis. 写作： 这一部分考察的是你在阅读文章的过程中体现出来的分析性思维能力。所以不要忙着去记例子。重要的是你的观点。想写好作文的话什么例子都可以，只要它们能说明你的观点。 There really isn’t much to say. SAT is hard because it tests you things you felt you know but really don’t, and SAT is a long fight (ignore me if you can get a 2300+ the first time you take it). There are times when you feel frustrated and don’t understand. However, I want you to know that despite how hard the test is there is logic behind every question, and there is only one answer correct. At the very least, know that score don’t determine every thing.
